All of our products are based on advanced technologies developed in-house since 1996.  HTI has spent more than 13 years perfecting the various techniques and methods of heat transfer - pulse combustion, pulse heating, declarative combustion and other technologies - which result in an umbrella technology which we have named Spectra HE™.

This endeavor has been undertaken because of the significant operating and environmental benefits that are realized from this technology and our products. 

At the core of this technology is the application of HTI’s proprietary, patented understanding and knowledge of heat and mass transfer.  Here is a technological snapshot of our products:

Spectra HE™ Ultra Drying System

Heat Source:   Independent, electrically generated heat or hot air from combustion of fossil fuels or no heat – we can dry with ambient air for temperature sensitive applications

Thermal Input:    0-100 kW per section

Spectra HE™ Pulse Dryers

Spectra HE™ Pulse Dryers are based on HTI’s patented pulse combustion technology.

Heat Source: Fossil, refuse gaseous or liquid fuels, e.g. natural gas, propane, fuel oils, refuse fuels
Thermal Input: 150,000 BTU/hr - 6,000,000 BTU/hr (50 kW - 2,000 kW)

Spectra HE™ Pulse Burners and Heat Exchangers

All of our drying and combustion systems use a unique, patented process which “charges the air” to achieve these results.  The equipment is compact, cost efficient and easy to operate. Since there is only one moving part, it is highly reliable and will not reduce uptime in a manufacturing environment.  Our equipment can be retrofitted to existing production lines or processes. Our pulse heat exchangers could be a core component for a residential or commercial water heater.

Spectra HE™ IDRS

This technology was derived from our patented pulse combustion technology and has several applications for the removal of deposits from various heat transfer surfaces of various boilers or environmental pollution control type of equipment.

Fuel Source:                natural gas, propane
Fuel Consumption:      50-100 scf/hr
Air Source:                  could use plant air or supplied source of air, such as regenerative blower

Operating Benefits:

  • Field adjustable to meet the requirements of a specific installation or site or can be portable
